The pursuit of happiness

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Dave Sunderland reprinted these words from the Declaration of Independence on the back of a stone carving he completed and placed near his home on County Road 121 near Hesperus earlier in the week. Sunderland said he found the large stone on his property and set a goal to complete the carving and place it by the road for others to see by the Fourth of July.
