Please join your friends and neighbors for the Universal Health Coverage Day rally at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Buckley Park in Durango.
Simultaneous rallies will be taking place all across Colorado (and the world) to show support for the 2012 United Nations General Assembly resolution calling for improved health systems.
I strongly believe the time is right for the United States to emulate other developed countries in providing health coverage for all. We pay more for our current system which produces worse health outcomes for our citizens while seeming to best serve the interests of health insurance and pharmaceutical companies, not we the people.
Please educate yourself about the positive aspects of universal health coverage systems and then educate your legislators. Start your education at the rally Tuesday!
