Good grief. Must we continue to read and hear the blather in letters like “
It is not unsettled, y’all. It is not a political issue, y’all. There is no “other side of the debate,” y’all.
The only thing the author does get right is that the early predictions of a warming earth have not come to pass. The predictions underestimated the damage being done to the environment; it has exceeded even the worst predictions.
As all reasonable people know who are not trapped in the echo chamber of paranoid, delusional and violent conspiracies, who do not live in an alternative universe of make-believe and folly, climate change should be taught in every school at every level because it is the greatest threat to human existence in millennia.
The author and his ilk can claim “there is no climate change” and “there is no COVID” and can believe that a presidential candidate can simply declare himself a victor by mouthing the words, but it doesn’t make it so. I hope folks who similarly wish away what they want to wish away can find enough sand in the barren desert that is Trumpism to continue to bury your head.
Indoctrination? Look in the mirror. You’ve been had.
