The Evers family rocket float won first place honors in this year's Bayfield parade.
The Billy Goat went into Da Nile this year with an Egyptian-themed float. Owner Ashleigh Tarkington also had young friend Abby Cichone helping out as the Statue of Liberty.
While the big event on Independence Day is the parade, there's lots of fun afterwards, too. The annual Serrano horseshoe tournament was held in Eagle Park, and the Bayfield Chamber of Commerce rubber ducky race gave kids a chance to cool off in the Pine River.
