Grammy-nominated vocalist Catherine Russell kicks off her new “Send For Me” album tour with Durango Cool Jazz for two seatings at 5 and 8 p.m. Feb. 4 and 5 at The Lift at Cascade, 50827 U.S. Highway 550.

Due out on April 1, “Send For Me” features “Songs that inspire or touch me in some way,” she said. Russell’s deep connection to her chosen material is part of a calling. As the daughter of pioneering and legendary musicians Luis Russell and Carline Ray, Catherine Russell was born into jazz royalty. The recording pays homage to her parents and jazz legends such as Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Betty Carter, Earl King and more.

Tickets cost $150 per person and includes dinner and the show.

This is an intimate cabaret-style dinner setting. Seating is limited to 16 tables of four (or eight) and tables are spaced at reasonable distances apart. A negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination is required to attend the performances.
