Time for irresponsible states to pay up

Concerning the editorial from Aug. 25 about the possible repeal of Obamacare and possible changes when congress uses the same amount of money, but granting it to the states as each see fit:

Well, what short and select memories Democrats in general and, specifically, here at this liberal paper, have. The original deceptive and lie-filled bill called for a huge expansion of Medicaid, well beyond it’s original intent, to which states had the option of accepting.

The federal government would pay for the first three years, and then the states slowly have to start picking up the bill.

Responsible states turned down the offer, because looking into the future they knew it would be unaffordable to them; the irresponsible, mostly Democrat-run, states chose to opt in to the program.

As we know, though, federal programs never seem to end, just grow (like Obama’s expansion of welfare). That means people being able to get welfare without working, which has a lot to do with the addition of $10 trillion to the national debt during Obama’s regime.

Well, it’s not the feds job to cover the extra cost. It’s time for the irresponsible states to do that!

Concerning the rest of the economy and job-killing program, 45 percent of counties in the U.S. have one or no carrier; costs have greatly escalated while deductibles have also risen. That essentially makes their insurance worthless (health insurance not health care).

That is punitive to independent workers, shop owners, ranchers, etc. Not an affordable ACA.
