Tip-A-Cop for Special Olympics Colorado will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday at The Palace Restaurant, 505 Main Ave.
Law enforcement officers from several local agencies will team with Special Olympics Colorado athletes to earn tips from restaurant patrons. Money raised will go toward Special Olympics event costs, sporting equipment and health care. It will also open up new opportunities for Special Olympics athletes.
Reservations are not required but can be made by calling The Palace at 247-2018.
People who cannot attend but wish to donate to Special Olympics Colorado can pick up a donation envelope through Thursday at the Durango Police Department lobby window, 990 East Second Ave.
