Who are the people hired to write the headlines for The Durango Herald? To your credit, you have looked inward and are requesting submissions from the public for headline ideas for 2017.
The headline “Snow could stop by for the weekend” followed by “Storm could dump half-inch on Durango” (Herald, Dec. 30) is too lame. Since when is a snowstorm viewed to be a person who just happens to be stopping by in Durango? And since when is a ½-inch snow considered a dump? I don’t want to be embarrassed for being able to say I’m a 36-year subscriber to the Herald. You can make this better by publishing just one headline that favors Donald J. Trump.
