The Colorado State University Extension Office and Garden Project of Southwest Colorado will hold the 11th annual Tour de Farms, a bicycle tour of area gardens and farms, at 8 a.m. Aug. 19. Tours will start and end at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
Participants will visit farms, backyard gardens, community gardens, grow domes, chickens, goats and more.
Two bike routes are available: a family-friendly, 6-mile ride through town, and a 30-mile ride through the Florida River Valley.
A party, with live music by StillHouse Junkies, will be held after the tours at Ska Brewing Co., 225 Girard St.
Cost is $25 and includes the bicycle tour, lunch from Zia Taqueria, a Tour de Farms pint glass, one pint of Ska beer and dessert from Serious Delights Bakery.
