The 13th annual Tour de farms will be held starting at 8 a.m. Aug. 28.
Tour de Farms highlights what is unique, healthy and homegrown in the local agricultural and gardening community.
Bike route optins include:
- Long Valley Ride: A moderate 25-mile ride visiting backyard gardens and farms along County Road 250. Meet at the Riverview Elementary parking lot at 2900 Mesa Ave. to start the Tour de Farm route. Finish at the Carver Farm at 1390 County Road 250.
- Tour de Farms After Party-Independent Ride: Ride an easy 1.3 miles from the 32nd Street stop sign on your own out to the Carver Farm at 1390 County Road 250 for the After-Party. The After-Party starts at noon. A tour of the Carver Garden and a private garden is available. Parking is very limited, so people are encouraged to ride bikes or carpool to the farm.
Participants can also attend the Tour de Farms After-Party without participating in the ride.
Tickets cost $40 for the Adults-Long ride and After-Party; $20 for the After- Party and Garden Tour on the Carver property; and $20 for children (12 and younger).
