Trails 2000 will hold a volunteer trail-work day from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 2 on Dry Fork Trail, near the junction of Lightner Creek Road and U.S. Highway 160.
No experience is necessary. Volunteers should bring a water bottle and rain jacket, and wear appropriate footwear, long pants, sun hat and sunscreen. Trails 2000 will provide tools, instruction, water and snacks.
Volunteers will meet at the Dry Fork trailhead: take U.S. Highway 160 westbound from Durango, turn right on Lightner Creek Road, follow to Dry Fork Road, turn right at the fork toward Silver Mountain Ranch, then turn left at the next fork, away from Silver Mountain Ranch, and meet in the parking area.
