Trails 2000 will hold a trail-work camping event to work on its adopted section of the Colorado Trail during Colorado trail work weekend, June 23-25. The 19.1-mile section, from Junction Creek to Champion Venture, is the longest adopted stretch of trail in the state.
Volunteers can drive themselves or meet a shuttle at 1 p.m. June 23, at Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave, to be driven to the camp site.
Crews will camp for two nights, with food, tools and instructions provided.
The deadline to sign up is May 30; attendance is limited to 22 people.
