Trails 2000 to work in Three Springs

Trails 2000 is seeking volunteers to help with trail work from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Aug. 4 and from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 8 at Spur Line Trail in Three Springs.

Volunteers will meet at the Spur Line trailhead in Three Springs and carpool to the work site. Those planning to attend are asked to be on time because cars must pass through a locked gate on the way to the site.

People are also invited to mountain bike to the site. From Horse Gulch, ride to Grandview Ridge Road and connect with Three Springs trails, then continue east across the cattle guard to the Trails 2000 work truck.

Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes or boots, pants and a sun hat and bring sunscreen, a water bottle and rain jacket. Trails 2000 will provide tools, instruction, water and snacks. No experience is necessary.
