Scott Tipton, our representative in Congress, is working on an impressive record. He voted, at a time of nearly full employment, to increase the deficit by $1.5 trillion over 10 years, allegedly to create more jobs.
Translation: He is needlessly burdening our children with trillions of dollars of debt.
He voted to strip the BLM of the ability to regulate methane emissions from wells on BLM land.
Translation: Tipton is for air pollution and exacerbating global warming.
He applauded the EPA for delaying the Waters of the United States rule of 2015 that would clarify which bodies of water were subject to EPA review. The rule, as approved by the Supreme Court, did not add any new requirements for agriculture, but was an effort to protect our environment and wildlife.
Translation: Tipton is for water pollution and for developing wetlands at the expense of wildlife.
He voted to strip the personal mandate from the Affordable Care Act. This will result in more healthy people not being covered, increasing costs for the rest and destabilizing the already troubled health insurance market.
Translation: Tipton is for making it harder for Americans to get health insurance.
He issued a statement supporting the release of the Nunes memo. The Nunes memo is an attempt to hinder the ongoing investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Translation: Tipton is for obstructing justice. Scott Tipton’s vision must be to leave our country deeply in debt, corrupt and polluted.
