The 2300 block of West Second Avenue will be closed to all traffic from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday while the city removes a large, sick, cottonwood tree at 2377 West Second Avenue.

The tree has substantial rot in the trunk and main branches, which has compromised the stability of the tree and is causing safety concerns.

Weston Drive to 23rd Street will be open to residents who live or work in that area only.
