The Southern Ute Indian Tribe will host an open house at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sky Ute Casino to discuss impacts of shale oil development on the reservation. The tribe is drafting a supplemental Environmental Impact Statement to analyze the impact. The document also will help guide long-term development of shale oil and gas.
Representatives from the tribe's Growth Fund will provide an overview of the proposed development, explain the process, and welcomes questions, comments and suggestions.
