Trump and the Ten Commandments

Let’s run down how President-elect Donald Trump fares with the Ten Commandments:

  • No. 2: Thou cannot be an idol. Trump has spent his entire life making himself an idol.
  • No. 4: Day of the Sabbath. Trump has repeatedly shown zero knowledge of the Bible, never attends church, while golfing most Sundays.
  • No. 5: Thou shalt not trespass. In the wake of the Pennsylvania synagogue shooting, Trump was told to stay away from those suffering from that tragedy. Of course he showed up anyway.
  • No. 6: Thou shall not murder. This one is a little tricky, as his hands may not have actually murdered anyone, his non handling/interference during the pandemic cost a million Americans their lives.
  • No. 7: Thou shall not commit adultery. Stormy Daniels, just for starters.
  • No. 8: Thou shall not steal. Stealing millions of dollars from taxpayers during his first term is barely scratching the surface here.
  • No. 9: Thou shall not bear false witness. This is obviously Trump’s favorite commandment to abuse as he is a false witness generating machine.
  • No. 10: Thou shall not covet. His next favorite for abuse.

I admit that I have no idea what the cutoff is for qualifying as a good Christian, but I am sure that minor adherence to two out of 10 is not it.
