It is a sad day for us all that a con man like Donald Trump is this close to becoming president of our country. Trump has proven himself to be a racist, a misogynist, a liar and a fraud. In the recent debate, Trump said his father started him out in 1975 with “a small loan of $14 million dollars.” Adjusted for inflation, that is over $60 million in today’s currency!
In what universe is $60 million a small loan? Even dyed-in-the-wool Republicans have to admit that someone who inherently sees funding like this to be “small” is out of touch with the lives of average Americans, right ?
His only real credential for leadership would be if he was indeed the successful businessman he claims to be, but he steadfastly refuses to release any evidence that would corroborate this claim. We are supposed to wait until after he is elected to see his qualifications? This would be comedic if it was not so tragic.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton is probably the most scrutinized public figure in modern history. Her dealings may not always smell rosy, but at least they are available to be smelled! The little we do know about Trump’s business dealings is not pretty. Here are the facts: He has gone bankrupt six times! He posted close to a billion dollar loss in 1996! Trump’s base is the working class despite the fact he has been sued countless times by working class people he stiffed.
The bottom line is that he is lying to get your votes. He doesn’t care about you – he only cares about making money and will do or say anything to achieve this goal. He is the emperor who wore no clothes, such an egomaniac that he has no idea he is naked, but in this sad instance, neither do his followers.
An old adage is apropos here: A poor man voting for Trump is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.
