Trump obsession drives frightening policy

This is in response to the letter “

While I agree that a referendum on the Electoral College is not the place to decide this issue, and probably not constitutional, the bill that was passed by the Colorado Legislature and signed into law by the governor is a disaster.

The Democrats’ irrational obsession with the Trump presidency is interfering with their thought process. The bill as passed would allow a candidate with a simple plurality to become our president. Not even a runoff between the top two candidates would be required. So with many running, someone with 20% of the vote could win. Does that sound like democracy?

Minority parties and minority causes would rule. Hopefully, it will not become the law of the land, but if it does, Katy, bar the door!
