Trump tantrums indicate parenting

A live Jan. 6 hearing in June included one young former aide, Cassidy Hutchinson, to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, allegedly a co-conspirator in the insurrection. This was an informative hearing and Hutchinson probably needs protection for her life.

After this hearing, many Washington, D.C., associates of former President Donald Trump, not pardoned, consumed several cocktails before 5 p.m. with pricey defense attorneys.

Although the tantrums were minimized by the press of Trump throwing dishes against walls or physically attacking a secret agent, I believe better parenting skills could have produced a more stable 45th POTUS. I knew a grown man who threw a BBQ with hot coals on a dry hillside starting a fire. Many scared folks witnessed this and didn't get hamburgers. The mother of this guy admitted she gave little hands ice cream instead of realistic punishment for frequent outbursts.

On July 12, House Select Committee panelist Liz Cheney reminded Trump that he is not an "impressionable child" to get away with yet another bad act. Hopefully, Trump will not get an ice cream for his insurrection at the Capitol.

Now that our Supreme Court ruled to allow more guns on New York public streets, the tantrum-types and other crazies have permission to do more harm. I can only hope this mistake and other rulings will be voted out by sound minds in November.
