Trump’s actions show no concern for people

President Trump touts himself as a “man for the people” at his rallies. But clearly, he is not. Would a president who truly cared for people allow thousands in Colorado’s rural farming areas to continue drinking contaminated water, just to snub a governor he dislikes? He vetoed HR131 – even though it was initiated by his acolytes, Lauren Boebert and Jeff Hurd.

Would he risk families, young and old, by closing the National Center for Atmospheric Research – a facility that helps predict wildfires and floods – to punish a politician who doesn’t kowtow to him? That endangers hundreds of lives and properties, not just in Colorado.

If he cared for children, would he have cut funding for CCDF and TANF, which provide essential assistance to needy children – targeting only states that voted Democrat? Are innocent children political pawns? And where is first lady Melania, who is said to adore children? This man does not care for people; he cares for his ego, power and revenge. I shudder to think he is my president.
