Trying to reach Rep. Hurd with questions

Rep. Hurd,

Thank you for your update (Herald, Mar. 9) I value the time you took to communicate with your constituents. You have a tough job.

I ask that in your next report you address the following issues:

– Our country has a constitution that outlines checks and balances and it is being ignored.

– It is important to deport illegal immigrants that are criminals yet President Donald Trump pardoned criminals who attacked our police and country on Jan. 6. The insurrection was called a love fest but I can see with my own eyes that it was violent.

– Why are we alienating our allies and making friends with a country that invaded another country without cause?

– How will tariffs help our economy?

Thank you for helping me understand how these actions are making our country better.

P.S. I have been trying to reach your office to talk or leave a message. The recording for your Washington number instructed me to send a message through your website. I did that and the reply I received said I “sent a message to an unmonitored inbox.” The voice mailbox of your local Durango number is full. I thought you’d want to know.
