Turkey hunter seminar set for April 7

“Turkey Hunting 101,” a class for those interested in hunting turkeys, will be offered from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 7 at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

The class will cover concepts for turkey hunters, including biology, bird identification, laws and regulations, equipment, scouting, hunting tactics, turkey calling, tracking, how to set up blinds, field-dressing and more.

Spring turkey season starts April 14 and continues through May 27. CPW staff will provide tips and instruction during the class.

The event is free and open all.
