Oh heck, yes, I’m voting for Jack Turner for county commissioner. I’ve had the honor of being Jack’s friend for a quarter century. We’ve worked together on several business projects – and I’ve never seen anyone work harder. Jack’s a champion of the underdog and keeps a cool head if things go south. He also has this incredible knack for being creative and pragmatic at the same time.
Jack’s the nonpartisan leader we need to tackle the nonpartisan challenges facing La Plata County. (And why must county commissioners be aligned with a political party anyway? Sheesh!) Jack is not a member of any political party – he’s a true independent who will represent, listen to and collaborate with everyone, without all that divisive partisan malarkey.
There’s a saying, “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got.” So if you believe everything’s hunky-dory, by all means stick with the same ole political party machinery. Or, if you’re like me, it’s time for independence, integrity and boldness. But don’t take my word for it.
Do your research. Decide for yourself. Chances are, independent Jack Turner will be your top choice.
