The Durango Parks and Recreation Department, in coordination with Durango Fire Protection District and Twin Buttes, will complete a prescribed slash-pile burn from fire mitigation efforts June 1 to June 30, weather permitting, in the Twin Buttes open space, located two miles west of Durango.
The controlled burn was originally scheduled to occur in May, but was adjusted due to weather.
