The Colorado Department of Transportation will perform repairs on an irrigation structure that crosses above U.S. Highway 160 near Bayfield, between county roads 502 and 506.
Weather permitting, the repair work will require a full highway closure beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, and continuing for much of the day.
Work has been scheduled for the weekend to avoid peak commuter traffic volumes.
Travel impacts will include:
Highway 160 westbound and eastbound traffic will be detoured through Bayfield on the U.S. Highway 160 business route/Bayfield Parkway. County Road 501 will have through traffic and eastbound turns only. No westbound traffic will be allowed. On County Road 502, traffic must turn left onto Highway 160. No right turns will be allowed.On County Road 506, traffic must turn right onto Highway 160. No left turns will be allowed.Local residential and business traffic will be accommodated.
