Colorado Department of Transportation will perform paving operations next week on U.S. Highway 550, south of County Road 302, from mile markers 10 to 11.5.
The three-day road maintenance operations will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday.
Drivers will encounter full stops, lane shifts and one-lane alternating traffic guided by flagging personnel. Travelers can expect up to 15 minute delays and should allow themselves extra time.
A speed reduction to 40 mph will be in place and drivers should slow down and use extreme caution when approaching and driving through the work zone. Drivers are urged to be aware of work crews and heavy equipment.
