To preview a visit by journalist Nicholas Kristof, an event to discuss the documentary series “Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide” will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the Durango Unitarian Universalist Church, 419 San Juan Drive.
The series was shot in 10 countries around the world and based on the book of the same name co-authored by Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn.
The free event is open to all and sponsored by the church’s Social Responsibility and Justice Program.
