For frequent United passengers to and from Durango, progress noted in a story (Herald, Oct. 21) is welcome but also concerning. We deserve more than United’s assurance that staying the course will result in continued improvement.
And important facts are missing in the story. First, we need to know why service has been so poor. Second, we need to see comparisons to service records in comparable markets in Colorado.
Finally, beyond individual contacts with United, how can Durango travelers exert pressure to accelerate the improvements? Until then, it looks like we are in for continued delays and cancellations.
