The San Juan County Officer-involved Shooting Task Force is investigating, according to Francisco, who said the identify of the other officer will not be released until the investigation is complete.

“He has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation,” Francisco said.

Francisco said his department appreciates “all the law enforcement and first responders and medical personnel and their response to this. They’ve really come together to help us in this time need.”
