Upper Pine Fire Protection District will host the second annual 9/11 Stair Climb at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the top of Durango SkySteps on the west side of Fort Lewis College.
The community is invited to honor the 343 firefighters who lost their lives Sept. 11, 2001, in a climb equal to the flights of stairs they endured during the Sept. 11 attacks.
Opening declarations will begin at 10 a.m., with the climb beginning at 10:30 a.m.
