The Durango School District 9-R Transportation Department is in need of gently-used books for its “Books on Board” program, which will allow buses to provide small libraries for students to read on their way to and from school.
Donations of books appropriate for school-age children will be accepted from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Transportation Department, 1071 Highway 3, or the 9-R Administration Building, 201 E. 12th St. Donations can also be given to bus drivers at bus stops during morning and evening routes.
