Ute Mountain Casino Hotel announces temporary closure

Because of growing concerns about the coronavirus pandemic and to assist with local tribal prevention efforts, Ute Mountain Casino Hotel has temporarily closed operations of its hotel and casino services as of Monday.

ExxonMobil Ute Mountain Travel Centers in Towaoc and White Mesa, which are also operated under the Ute Mountain Casino Hotel, will remain open with limited hours of operation from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering vital services to travelers and long-haul truck drivers along U.S. highways 491 and 160.

All hotel and casino services and operations will remain closed through December, and a decision about reopening will be determined in January. Employees will not be affected by the temporary closure and all are due to return when the property reopens.
