Senior bazaar tomorrow

The Pine River Seniors will hold their annual bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pine River Senior Center. Breakfast tacos, cinnamon rolls, Frito pie will be sold, as well as a bake sale and huge silent auction. All are welcome to attend.

Evening's Porch holding chamber event,

Evening's Porch, the new assisted living facility in Bayfield, will hold its grand opening from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13. There will be tours of the facility, appetizers, drinks, door prizes and other activities. The Bayfield Chamber of Commerce will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the facility. Cultural center holding native food expo

The Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum is holding its fourth annual native cuisine and culture expo. The event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15 at the museum. It includes entrees, desserts, Ute dancers, singers, live music and vendors. Food will be prepared by M. Karlos Baca, an indigenous chef, and sous chefs Anthony Hamlin and Stephan Mann.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for youth 7-15, and free for children under 7 with an adult paid entrance. Tickets are available at the museum, Maria's Bookshop in Durango and Dancing Spirit Gallery in Ignacio. For more information, call 563-9583.

Dancing Spirit holding ceramics, glass show

Dancing Spirit Gallery is hosting its annual ceramics and glass show, "All Fired up," in November. It features new works by Margie Coates, Kasey Correia, Scott Hagler,

Katrina Jameson, Harlene Russell and Amy Stuck. An opening reception is from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at the gallery on Goddard Avenue. Live music and refreshments will be featured. Casino hosting Veterans Day events

Sky Ute Casino will host its Veterans Day Powwow Saturday, starting at 1 p.m. The grand entrance is at 7 p.m.

On Tuesday, all veterans will receive a free meal from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., along with a free hat.

Ignacio Community Library holding classes

A writer's workshop is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Ignacio Community Library. All writers ages 12 and up are welcome to bring their work to read and critique.

A consumer health care class will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13.

Participants will learn how to use health information and resources available at the library.
