Presenters needed for cultures fair

For five years, Ignacio Elementary School students and community members have experienced a culture fair. This year's culture fair organizers are seeking presenters for the event. Past presentations have included hunting, sign language, Scotland, motocross, Ute and cowboy-western culture, and many more. The fair is from 7:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 11 at Sky Ute Casino Resort. Lunch is provided for all of the volunteers.

Local church offers free clothes

Faith Community Church of the Nazarene is offering free clothing this month, as part of their "Twice Blessed" clothing ministry. The church will offer free clothes for men, women, and children. The "Spring Giveaway" event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 22 at the church, 1400 Highway 172, a few miles south of Elmore's Corner. The clothing give-away is open to everyone, regardless of age or income.

Craft fair set for March 22

Local crafters, jewelry makers and other artisans are holding a spring art show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 22 at the Oxford Grange Hall. The hall is located on Highway 172 two miles east of the airport. For booth space or more information, call Patty at 553-0222.

Bayfield Chamber to meet on Thursday

The Bayfield Chamber of Commerce will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pine River Public Library. The event will be hosted by Cedar Networks. More information about the chamber is at www.bayfieldchamber.com
