Veterans Day will be celebrated Tuesday in Durango with a parade on Main Avenue and an open house at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4030.
The parade begins at 11 a.m. and travels north from Fifth Street through the downtown. Following the parade will be an open house from 12:15 to 2 p.m. at the VFW.
Veterans Day is a federal holiday, which means city, county and federal offices will be closed.
