The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4031 members and members of the auxiliary are sponsoring the annual Veterans Day parade and Veterans Day activities on Monday.
The parade will begin at 11 a.m., with check-in beginning at 10 a.m. at the corner of East Third Avenue and College Drive. The parade will continue north to 12th Street. All interested parties are invited to join in the parade. Entry forms are available at Post 4031. Volunteer street crossing guards are needed. Those interested in helping may call Terry Saxon at 759-8690.
Veterans Day activities will begin at 6 a.m. with placing of flags on Main Avenue. VFW Post 4031 will then host an open house beginning at 12:30 p.m. American Legion Post 28 will also host an open house after the parade at the corner of East Second Avenue and Ninth Street.
