The city of Durango will host a virtual open house about the draft version of the city’s Water Master Plan at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at www.DurangoGov.org/Zoom.
The plan, developed with SEH Engineering, identifies current water system demands and makes projections for growth and the need for expanded firefighting services throughout the city. The plan covers projected growth for 50 years and identifies infrastructure improvements needed as demand increases over time.
The meeting will include a brief overview of the draft plan and an opportunity for residents to ask questions and provide feedback. An in-person meeting with the same information is scheduled for July 28. Details will be provided once confirmed.
The plan is available for review at www.DurangoGov.org/Utilities. Residents can also provide feedback via email at utilities@durangogov.org.
