The Durango Area Tourism Office board of directors is now accepting applications to fill one vacant seat. The board is looking for an individual interested in representing the outdoor recreation industry.
Visit Durango’s mission is to promote visitation to Durango and La Plata County, drive economic impact and support a positive visitor experience. Board members represent varied segments of the region’s tourism industry and help steer destination marketing. The board is seeking qualified, passionate candidates to help fulfill its mission and contribute to the continued success of destination marketing for the region.
Applicants interested in representing the outdoor recreation industry segment must be employed by, or own, a company involved in promoting outdoor recreation in Durango or La Plata County. The role of every board member is to provide strategic tourism insight, guidance and support to the organization, as well as promote tourism in the Durango area.
Applications are available online at www.durango.org/about-dato/board-members and in person at the Durango Welcome Center on Main Avenue. Interested parties should submit a completed application and resume to director@durango.org no later than May 4.
