Visit Durango will host the Southwest Colorado Tourism Summit from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 18 and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 19 at The Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.
The Durango Area Tourism Office is sponsoring the summit, along with guest speakers and presenters from the Colorado Tourism Office and more. This event is open to all businesses in Southwest Colorado, and anyone interested in destination marketing and the Colorado tourism industry.
Just in time for the summer tourism season, the summit is designed to support our local and regional tourism industry partners with key insights, trends and practical solutions for marketing your business or event. Topics include digital marketing, how to track and manage success using analytics, social media for businesses, pitching the media, sustainable tourism, crisis communications, hospitality training and more.
Registration costs $75 and includes two full days of networking events and educational sessions, plus a Welcome Reception with drinks and appetizers, breakfast, hot lunch buffet each day and a cookie/coffee bar.
