This is to encourage property owners and neighbors in the Animas Valley to attend the public hearing on the Yucha rezone request (Project #2018-0022), which was continued to 6 p.m. May 24 at the County Administration Building, 1101 East Second Ave.
No new notices will be sent out by planning about the continuance.
The commission will hear public comments on whether parcels totaling 15.546 acres of land on County Road 203 should be re-zoned into a high density designation of multi-family residential from one-acre minimum single-family residential in direct conflict with the objectives and regulations of the Animas Valley Land Use Plan. The multi-family residential designation could include apartments, condominiums, town homes, manufactured home parks, i.e., trailer parks. Complaints after the fact will be too late!
