Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications from eligible residents in District D interested in serving on its Board of Education until the 2019 school board election.
To be eligible, candidates must be yearlong residents in the school district, current residents of Director District D and registered voters.
Those interested in being considered must submit a letter of interest, including qualifications and reason for applying, by 4 p.m. Thursday to board clerk Sarah Berggren,at Durango School District 9-R, 201 E. 12th St.
The board will interview prospective candidates at a public meeting, scheduled at 5 p.m. Sept. 5.
