The San Juan National Forest and Durango Trails will conduct trailwork from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 25 on the Cutthroat Trail. Volunteers are needed.
The trail is about 5.5-miles long and located above the East Fork of Hermosa Creek on the Columbine Ranger District.
The multiuse trail, designated as nonmotorized and open to e-bikes, was proposed by Durango Trails in the Hermosa planning process.
No experience is necessary to volunteer, and Durango Trails will provide the necessary instruction, safety tool talk, tools, work gloves, and water and snacks for the entire crew.
Registration is required to participate.
