The city of Durango seeks volunteers to help count pedestrians and bicyclists from Sept. 14 to Sept. 17.
A total of 77, two-hour volunteer slots need to be filled to help the city take part in the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project.
The bicycle and pedestrian count provides information and data to help the city understand how infrastructure is being used. Counting will take place at 11 locations in Durango.

Information from the counts can help secure grant funding for projects such as sidewalk repair, bicycle facilities and transit system improvements.
