Volunteers of America will host a Scavenger Hunt for the Future, Aug. 22 to Sept. 22.
Challenges will take players to several landmarks around downtown Durango. Challenges maybe completed any time throughout the month. Families are encouraged to participate.
Awards, celebration and a grand prize drawing to win a paddle board will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 25 at Buckley Park. Winners must be present to collect prizes.

The event benefits Southwest Safehouse and Durango Community Shelter, which provide comprehensive residential shelter services and support to families and individuals experiencing homelessness and/or fleeing domestic violence.
