As part of its teaching and learning plan, Durango School District 9-R is seeking volunteers from the community to join a personalized competency-based learning team and represent each school and stakeholder group as the district develops its instructional practices throughout the year.
The team will include three administrators, three students, four teachers, three parents, three community members, the Curriculum and Assessment Department and the Student Information Services and Communications Department.
All stakeholders in the school district can apply for the leadership opportunity.
The first meeting is scheduled to be held from 4:15 to 6:15 p.m. Oct. 12 at the 9-R Administration Building, 201 E. 12th St.
Applications are available online at www.durangoschools.org and must be submitted by Wednesday, Oct. 4, to Leanne Garcia at lgarcia@durango.k12.co.us. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by Friday, Oct. 6.
