East Animas Climbing Area on East Animas Road (County Road 250).
Trails 2000, in partnership with American Alpine Club, will host a volunteer trail-work day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22 at the East Animas climbing area. Participants will meet in the East Animas parking area, located 1.8 miles north of Durango on East Animas Road (County Road 250).
No experience is necessary, and volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes or boots, long pants, a shirt, sun hat and sunscreen, and bring a water bottle and rain jacket. Trails 2000 will provide all tools, instruction, lunch, water and snacks.
Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged.
