Volunteers wanted for superintendent interviews

Questionnaires available from school district

The Bayfield School District Board of Education is seeking volunteers to participate in the interviews of candidates for the position of superintendent of schools. Participants will need to be available for an entire day of interviews, starting at 7:45 a.m. on March 21.

Interviews with each candidate will last about 75 to 90 minutes. At the end of each interview, the team will be asked to complete a form listing candidate's strengths and any areas of concern. This information will be presented to the school board for its consideration and will be a key part of the selection process for the position.

Two interview teams will be selected by the school board, each team consisting of 8 to 12 people. In selecting team members, the board will be choosing individuals who represent the school district, as well as a cross-section of the community.

Volunteers should fill out a questionnaire and return it to Brooke LaVenture at blaventure@bayfield.k12.co.us by 3 p.m. on Feb. 21. Copies of the questionnaire are at the administration office or can be emailed.

Participants will be notified by March 7. Individuals not selected will also be notified by this date.

For more information, contact the administration office at 884-2496.
