Vote Bill Waters for District 3 LPEA

As a 60-plus-year community member of Durango and La Plata County, my father, Bill Waters, possesses the ability, dedication, knowledge and commitment to make the tough but fair decisions with regard to your La Plata Electric Association co-op. He is a husband, father, grandfather, coach, farmer, businessman and friend, all of which make him the candidate you want representing your community.

Waters’ roots run deep in the Durango area, from farming Ewing Mesa in wheat and pinto beans, to coaching peewee wrestling and high school sports at the old Smiley High School. As a lifetime member of the Durango community, he and his wife Theresa (married 42 years) raised four boys, all of whom graduated from Durango High and college and now have families of their own. He is active in his church. You may have even seen him on a roadside cleanup with the Knights of Columbus.

Waters endorses the use of alternative energy sources, which is why over 15 years ago he and his ranch partners installed over a mile of underground pipe to transport water and use gravity to power a turbine on a traveling sprinkler for irrigation. As a lifelong farmer/rancher he knows the value of sustainable and alternative practices.

Waters’ 40-plus years with Wagner Equipment has given him the opportunity and experience to be part of multimillion-dollar transactions with successful local companies as well as state and local governments.

Vote with your community – vote Bill Waters District 3.
