Expertise matters.
La Plata Electric Association, our local electric cooperative, is an excellent run organization and leading co-op nationwide. Over the past few years under the present board leadership, it lowered electricity costs to its consumers, updated infrastructure and updated policies, while working on a 50% buyout from our costly 50-year Tri-State Generation contract.
This year, District 4 residents, the North Animas Valley and more, have the opportunity to be represented by David Luschen on the LPEA board. David has 26 years of experience, starting as a frontline engineer and working his way up to management for the nation’s largest municipal-owned utility. Electing David brings along valuable experience benefiting all co-op members, while strengthening LPEA’s already outstanding organization.
Forget all the noise you read about LPEA from his opponent and vote for David Luschen, the best candidate we could wish for!
